It is my great pleasure to give, as the President of the IOC endorsed Federation Internationale Cinema Television Sportifs, my welcome to all the participants and the spectators of the “Budapest Bridge - 1st International Paralympic Sport Film Festival”.

Several months ago Mr. Ponyiczky was in Italy to the World Phase of “Sport Movies & TV 2005” and I know he has been ever since incessantly working toward the aim of this beautiful Festival. I want to acknowledge him and to all the organizers for the commitment to this event that make FICTS proud to have this Organization among the WORLD FICTS CHALLENGE. The goal of the “Budapest Bridge Festival” in much noble and imprinted towards the true and profound sport values.

2006 winners will have the chance to represent Hungary in Milan from October 27 until November 1, 2006, and that’s why I express my sincere appreciation to the qualified Judges:  I’m sure the high quality of Hungarian movie tradition will let them have a hard time in deciding who is the best.

Last but not least, I wish a great time in Budapest to all the spectators: eventually, the audience is the best judge, due to the emotions that filmmakers are able to evoke in everybody’s souls with an accurate use of the 7th Art.

I wish you all every success and I hope to see you in Italy for the Final Phase of “Sport Movies & TV - 24th Milano International FICTS Festival”, “6 days of sport, cinema and world tv”.
